Lionel Messi has a new commercial out that mirrors the message God gave to the world in John 16:33.
Lionel Messi, who plays soccer for FC Barcelona, is considered by many to be the best soccer player in the world (I personally think Ronaldo is better, but that’s another topic for another time). Gatorade now features Messi in an inspirational commercial telling all of his fans and sports players alike not to let people take you down on the soccer field, and in life as well. Watch:
In John 16:33, God spoke the same message to His followers. He told them, “I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” Just like the commercial, God wanted us to know that being a Christian will not be easy. It won’t just be one person that gives you a hard time, but the whole world will give you trouble. Sounds crazy, right? But the awesome thing is that we have nothing to fear because even though the world will give us trouble, God has our back. He’s already taken care of us 🙂
