Genesis 1:1 is an awesome way to begin the New Year.
In Genesis 1:1, the Bible explains that God created the Heavens and the earth. This was essentially the world’s first New Year. Sin had not yet had the chance to enter its purity. Every New Year, people consider it a time to put everything that happened in the previous year in the past, while moving forward in the New Year.
No matter what happened in 2015, today is a good time to start over. Think about all the lessons you learned in 2015 and how you’re going to be a better person in 2016. Good luck!
