This week, NBA All-Star Kobe Bryant got into trouble for saying mean things against homosexual people. Now although as SDAs don't believe in homosexuality, we also don't accept making fun of or being mean to them.
For his actions, Bryant was fined $100,000 for his comment and he had this to say in his apology:
"What I said last night should not be taken literally. My actions were out of frustration during the heat of the game, period. The words expressed do NOT reflect my feelings towards the gay and lesbian communities and were NOT meant to offend anyone."
But let's not all gang up on Bryant. A lot of sports figures have said things that they wern't supposed to say. That's why it's so important not to hold them too high on our "important people" list.
That's why God needs to be at the top of all of our lists. He is the only one to never sin, and He's the best example we have!
