Have you ever done something really cool in sports and had someone from the other team give your props? I have, and it is one of the most humbling experiences I’ve ever felt.
I’m sure many of you have clapped or cheered for an opposing player just because that player was good. If you haven’t had the chance yet, do so. Don’t hold it in. Next time a player on your team, or even a player on the opposing team does something that makes you go, “Wow”, let them know. You don’t have to do it in the game, but tell them afterwards. Trust me, everybody loves encouragement.
If we all tried a little harder to be nice to our opponents, we could slowly embrace the idea of “friendly competition.”
What do you think?
Watch as A’mare gives props to rookie Blake Griffin. Pretty cool, huh?
