Chapter 4: The Temptation
We stayed in the Garden of Eden for a few weeks. I had
to remind Fred of the fact that we’re stuck here AND IT’S ALL HIS FAULT! Sorry.
Anyway a few days later Adam went out to pick fruit and Eve went out to pick
flowers. Eve got carried away and went farther and farther from Adam.
Eventually she ended up at the Tree of Knowlegde
Knowledge of Good and Evil.
Fred and I started following her. We heard some
rustling in the leaves and looked up into the tree. A snake slithered out of
the leaves.
“Eve” said the snake.
Eve jumped back in shock for a second.
“H-H-How.” Eve stammered. “How can you talk?”
“Has God told you that you
should not eat the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil.” The snake replied.
“W-W-W-We can eat from all the trees if the garden.”
said Eve. “Except from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil because God says
if we eat from it we will die.”
“You shall not surely die.” The snake said again. “For God knows that when you eat of it you
shall be like God.”
“We will?” Eve asked.
“Yes.” Said the snake. “Just try it.”
The snake (who had legs) picked up one of the fruits
and handed it to her. Eve took the fruit and lifted it to her mouth.
It was like watching it in slow motion. Fred and I
tried to stop her but she bit into it anyway. Her eyes suddenly became bigger
like she was having a flashback.
“See?”
said the snake. “Nothing happened. Now take some to Adam
