The Shepherd and the Lamb

Hi, readers! My name is Anaelle and I’m new here at Guide, but I’ve been writing for a while. I know people usually post stories here (and I will, too!) but to start, I’m going to post a short poem. Hope you enjoy!

**********************************************************

(Written from the perspective of the lamb)

He softly strokes my back

After a long day in the fields

All my fears are washed away

As I lay in the arms of my loving Master

He slowly lulls me to sleep

My eyes flutter as fatigue washes over me

My last thought before I see the morning sun is:

I love my Master; I wouldn’t trade him for a king
