The Not So Best Friends Chapter 6

It was finally Saturday, the day Laura said she would come to church. I grabbed my phone and sent Laura a text message, to make sure she was still coming.

A couple minutes later she texted me back, “Yes.”

I set my phone down, and I headed downstairs. Then I made myself breakfast. When I had finished eating breakfast, I went back to my room and picked out my dress for church. After I finished getting ready, I went outside and headed to Laura’s house.

I knocked on the door, and Laura answered. “Are you ready to go to church?” I asked her.

“Yep.” She replied.

When we had gotten to church, the pastor welcomed us and said he was glad I brought a friend. We sat down, and soon they started service.

Everything was going great, until all of a sudden Laura’s phone rang. She stepped outside for a second to answer the call. When she came back, the look on her face was one of worry.

“Anna we have to go. Now!” She said in the most worried and upset tone.

“Laura, what’s going on?”

“There’s no time to sit around asking questions. We have to go. I’ll tell you on the way.” She replied. We left the church in a hurry, and she told me everything. “Look I know this is hard to believe, but my parents were headed to the church to listen to the people speak. But something happened, and they got in a really bad car crash. I have to help them, I can’t let them die.” She told me, rushing her words.

To be continued!
