Yesterday at my house it was 108° F (42.2° C). I’ve experienced that heat a
couple times in my life.
It got me thinking about all the technology that
surrounds us every day. Yesterday, I was really thankful for whoever
designed air conditioning. I wondered what people used to
do to stay cool in the summer. Then I remembered caves. Caves tend stay close
to the same temperature of the whole year. Whether your temperatures
outside are 110° F or -10° F your cave temperature should be around 55° F
(13° C) year around. So if you ever find yourself dying of heat find some
shade, and if you’re lucky, find a cave.
