The
very first day,
‘Twas
evening and morning.
As
God did say
Appeared
light so assuring.
With
the second dark and light,
Came
firmament and water.
Oh
what a glorious sight,
To
see God making earth for future son and daughter.
On
the day numbered three
Water
gave way to land.
God
grew every plant from moss to tree,
Showing
in each the mighty works of His hand.
Then
day four crossed the sky
With
the sun, moon, and stars.
And
though we may not know why,
He
also made Mars.
Five
was a day to start something new.
Fish
and birds, sentient creatures to make!
If
this wonder we in person did view,
The
excitement would surely cause our whole selves to quake.
Day
six in the land
Time
for land-dwelling beasts.
Then
came God’s hand.
Time
for the Master’s best piece!
In
God’s own image
He
formed a man
And
out of a rib (to reduce power scrimmage)
Woman
was made to help keep the land.
And
finally day seven
A
Sabbath of rest.
God
came here from heaven
For
to commune with His children is what He knew was best.
