Book of Poetry, Part 1

    Spring
  • A new seed is planted.                                                                                        It starts to bloom.                                                                                  Meanwhile, a beautiful butterfly.                                                                Emerges from its cocoon.                                                                                 A wobbly deer fawn takes its first steps.                                                                  In a cave, two bear cubs are kept.                                                            The leaves atop the trees grow back.                                                                     The ground, snow it lacks.                                                                                      The season of new beginnings is spring                                                   Which is in the hands of God the King.
Hues & Shades

Colors, colors, and more galore!

Colors in the sky

And colors on the seashore

Hues of blue, red, and white.

Hues that symbolize might.

Color is creativity’s key,

Color is what makes the world and me.

Kaleidoscope in the Sky

A rainbow is colors in a perfect array in the sky with a deeper meaning…

The Crucifixion

My Savior was praying in the Garden of Gethsemane.

He asked the Father to take away his painful fee.

Jesus said, “Let Your will be done.” What was about to happen was anything but

Fun. Sweat beads of blood fell down His tired face. Weakness washed over Him,

But His loving Father sent angels who enclosed the Son of God in a

Heavenly case. Soon, sinful men came and arrested the Lamb. But little did they

Know, the Man that they had just arrested was soon going to die for them.

They took Jesus to be tortured first. The unmerciful soldiers spat and cursed

At my Lord. Then, they whipped the Prince of Peace. Bright red blood

slowly dripped down his raw and beaten back. The ruffians dragged the Messiah

To Pilate. The governor soon faced a difficult choice to make. Should he risk his

Wealth and power by setting an innocent man free? Or should he hand him over

To the angry people and the Pharisees?

Simple Treasures

I love to read.

Books whisk me to other worlds.

When I get a new book, it’s like getting pearls.

Reading gives me knowledge.

And sparks my imagination!

I read all the time; even on vacation!

Books are my beautiful priceless treasure.

I hope you enjoyed these poems! I will be posting Part 2 soon! God bless!
