I know a 11 year old boy that does silly things to get people's attention.
Once he acted so naughty, our Sabbath School Teacher picked him up by the legs and made him stand on his head. Lol!
That might be a bit extreme to some. Welp, I hope he enjoyed it.
He was giggling in this high pitched girl giggle and looked a little embarrassed at everyone in my class roaring with laughter at him (which is tiny, like 4-5 kids) but he loved the attention.
ok nice

Don't laugh.
We usually don’t…
Ok good
Now criticize him.
I’m 100% sure that wouldn’t even work.
Firstly, why would I want to do that? Secondly, I think he’s gotten enough criticism, and thirdly, he’d probably just do a silly face.
Alright then. Ignore him. It's clear he wants attention.

It's a phase. It'll pass, trust me. He'll learn. Let him be. He's little, he'll grow up.

Heh. You'll experience similar circumstances in the future. It's best that you learn now, when the consequences are minimal.

How to passive-aggressively "remind" your parents they said they wouldn't stay long"

Animal sounds.
Show them the time.
Start a dance class in a public parking lot
Start an exercise class
Sing
Stare at them like you're reading the secrets of their hearts.

20 minutes later:
Joy: Let's go!!
We leave.
“Pray and pray and pray, and if that doesn’t work, listen to what God is telling you to do!” -- random 5 year old.
