Kinda random: why do we dress up to go to church? I mean, God sees us all the time, and I don't think things like clothes are super important to Him. And for the point that dressing up shows respect, I wouldn't say that for myself. I once showed up at a friend's part in regular clothes, and it didn't mean I respected her any less. It was just because I didn't feel like dressing up, and I figured my presence was better than the clothes I was wearing.
So, what do you guys think?

Also, I don't recall any mention of disciples wearing fancy clothes to temple service, or even meeting with Jesus.
In fact, the only time I can remember people having special clothes to wear to meet God, was the priests. And that was because they were directly in God's holy presence

It doesn't matter to me. However, if I wear whatever I want to church, I would be coming off as disrespectful to the other members who dress up as a sign of respect. And, of course, there are people that affiliate themselves with Christendom that never seem to tactfully hide their disgust with a person or their idiosyncrasies. It's also like wearing a red shirt to public school on St. Patrick's day. Everyone else is wearing green, but you on the other hand, are drawing unwanted attention to yourself by having a different hue emanating from your clothes. So for now, it's probably best for you if you waste half hour picking a decent dress/suit and another 15 minutes putting everything on instead of waltzing down the aisle with everyday clothes.

I believe in dressing up. If you were to meet the Queen on England, would you dress up? I hope so. Isn't God more important than the Queen on England? That's my view

Hmm . . . I also think we should feel at home in God’s home. But, often dressing up makes us feel uncomfortable, which leads us want to hurry home so that we can let our hair down (literally and/or figuratively).

Lol, I just saw a FB post with two people who had on regular clothes (shorts, tee shirt. Slightly ripped jeans, tee shirt.) and they were doing a Song Service. Someone commented on that "The abomination that causes desolation."
