LSU cornerback Kristian Fulton was reinstated by the NCAA last week after they finished up a 19-month investigation.
Kristian was caught using another person’s urine during a drug test.
The NCAA notified LSU last week it would reclassify the violation and that Kristian would be eligible, effective immediately; pending a standard reinstatement drug exam.
Kristian began camp practicing with the first- and second-team defenses; he has the potential to be named a starting cornerback.
Jonah 2:1-3 reads “Then Jonah prayed to the Lord his God from the belly of the fish, saying, I called out to the Lord, out of my distress, and he answered me; out of the belly of Sheol I cried, and you heard my voice. For you cast me into the deep, into the heart of the seas and the flood surrounded me; all your waves and your billows passed over me.”
God asked Jonah to go talk to the people of Nineveh. Jonah did not listen to God at all. Jonah 1:17 reads “And the Lord appointed a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights. He thought he was going to die, but God did rescue him from the belly of the fish. God gave Jonah another chance because He is the God of not only second changes but of third, fourth, and on and on.
God knows we’ll fail and knows ahead of time when we’ll fail and what we’ll fail at, but He never gives up on us. It is a blessing for Kristian to get another chance to play the sport that he loves. Is there a Jonah in your life that you need to give a second chance to? Or are you the Jonah needing a second chance? We should exercise patience and mercy by loving and forgiving to others.
