This week the NFL draft took over sports news headlines. For fans there’s a great deal of excitement and eagerness to see what the players will become. For the players hearing their name called is a huge acknowledgement of all their hard work.
The moment these players transition from being student athletes to professional athletes is sort of like graduation. All the hard work and time spent will now pay off tenfold. I’m no professional athlete, but I definitely understand if these guys feel a huge mix of emotions. There may be excitement and eagerness, but there also maybe uncertainty of what’s to come.
For Christians in our everyday life, Jeremiah 29:11-13 is a special verse. It gives us assurance. No matter where we go, or what we do, God has special plans for our future. God placed all of us on our own special journey, so we should trust Him every step of the way. It’s a great feeling to know that we can call on God and seek His guidance whenever we need it. No matter the situation or opportunity we can rest assured knowing that God has already planned everything out for us.
