Amidst the hype surrounding the Superbowl, someone took the time to interview players about different strategies for the game.
Drew Brees, quarterback for the New Orleans Saints, said that he uses the sports video game Madden to figure out different ways to win in real life. He further explains that the reason why he uses Madden is because it’s gotten so life-like that it almost seems real. Other sports figures including Jerry Rice and Dale Earnhardt Jr. expressed the same feelings.
I must admit, I agree also. This year I bought FIFA 13, a soccer game. This was one of the best purchases I’ve ever made! The detail in the game is incredible! Not only are the games a lot of fun, but practicing is also amplified by the insanely detailed drills you have to complete.
I’m definitely thinking about using this drill and others for my soccer club next year.
Are there any sports video games that you play that help you in the real-life versions?
Superbowl Bonus:
Since I live in Maryland, it’s almost mandatory that I show some Purple Pride for the last time this season. Go Ravens!
