This week, Joakim Noah of the Chicago Bulls was fined $50,000 for an anit-gay slur, or insult. When reporters asked him about the incident, Joakim said, "I made a mistake. I'll learn from it and move on."
I think it's pretty cool that Joakim admitted that he was wrong immediately and tried to correct it, especially since Kobe Bryant was fined $100,000 almost two weeks ago.
I understand that it's very hard to control your emotions when you're being competitive, but you have to stay calm. You can't let it, your comepetitive nature, get the best of you. Luckily, there isn't anyone to to fine you large amounts of money when you do make a mistake, but remember, people are always watching what you do and how you react in certain situations.
