Coy Sheppard simply wanted to wear his pink shoes, but he wasn’t allowed. He wanted to do something special in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so he decided to wear his pink cleats. However, all that glitters isn’t…erm…pink.
When Sheppard showed up to a practice with his custom cleats, his coaches made the decision to kick him off of the team. It’s a sad outcome but it gets even worse. Sheppard is suing his school because he believes he was kicked off of the team because of the color of his shoes. The school board and his coaches insist that he was kicked off because he (Sheppard) disobeyed his coaches.
