Where were you born?
Greenville, North Carolina.

What was your first job?
Working in a donut shop called Jerry’s.

How did you meet your spouse?
In summer school.

What is your favorite Bible verse?
One favorite is 1 Corinthians 2:9: "But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him." I also like Psalm 121.

What's your favorite Guide story?
I like them all!

When you were Guide age, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A mom.
(Note: Tonya fulfilled this dream and is the mom of two young adult children.)

What are your hobbies?
Playing softball and gardening.
 
What is your favorite veggie food item?
Haystacks.
 
What's your favorite junk food item?
Fries.
 
Would you ever go back and relive your teenage years?
No way!
 
What’s your secret talent?
Playing the piano.
 
If you were stranded on a deserted island and could bring only three items, what would they be?
A Bible, Ken (my husband), soap.
 
What’s an annoying habit you can’t break?
Biting my fingernails.

Jesus, just to hear Him talk.
