Tough Season

Yesterday was a day of "mourning" at Spencerville.
Both our boys soccer team and girls volleyball team lost in the second round of the playoffs. It was a huge disappointment because both of our teams were poised to go to the championship. One thing I had to re-learn though was that there are always two sides to a coin. This means that there will always be a winner and there will always be a loser. Unfortunately, we lost games yesterday. While it was hard to accept, it was a good lesson in humility and good sportsmanship. I wasn't at the soccer game but after a brutal loss, my volleyball team kept their heads up and shook hands with the other team.

It was nice to see that at the end of the day, it's just a game. Even I forget that at times. It's nice to be reminded every now and then. Happy Sabbath!

P.S. 
When's the last time you lost a big game? How did you feel?

well... I dont play a sport cause I cant play anything in the middle of nowere ( thats were i live)

Middle School Boys tied their game...so we were feeling at a loss too.

i love soccer but i do not like to lose a game. my soccer season ended late week.
i didn't lose a game. but i know how it feels

Well, I felt that it was just a game because we were losing on the playoffs.

well, it was a while ago. me and some other teens were at church right before we were having a youth day thing and we decided to have a basketball "tournament". i was the only girl on my team of three. in the end our team lost but i wasnt that disappointed since i knew i played hard (and i made one shot! :lol: ) sooo, yeah
