No Makeup?!?

Recently Quinlan, a Guide reader, sent me a link to an interesting Web site: Redefining Beautiful. It seems that several girls in a Texas high school got together and decided that they would not wear any makeup on Tuesdays. Their "no makeup" group grew to 180 members, and now girls at several other schools are doing the same thing.

The Redefining Beautiful group has been featured on CBS and ABC News, and the girls have been called "brave" and "inspiring" for daring to resist the idea that you have to look perfect. 

Now, I am not a person who wears much makeup. My entire collection consists of three tubes and bottles of skin-colored foundation or cover-up. So at first I thought, Going without makeup isn't that big of a deal! But then I thought, What if I woke up on Tuesday morning with a couple huge pimples? Would I want to go to school or work with NOTHING covering them up? That would be a little embarrassing. After all, I do want to look good, even if I don't think I should doctor up my appearance too much.

As far as I know, these girls are not going without makeup because of any spiritual reason. Their goal is to encourage gi.....
