Pathfinder Bible Videos Wanted!

Do you ever get bored on Sabbath? Do you like to make videos? I have a challenge for you. Read on.

If you are in Pathfinders, you may have heard of something called the Pathfinder Bible Experience or Bible Bowl. There are a few different Bible Bowl programs out there, but this year the North American Division Pathfinders officially adopted the Bible Experience.

Pathfinder Bible Experience logoThis year the Pathfinders will be studying the books of 1 Samuel and Mark. Now, if you have participated in a Bible Bowl program, you know it takes a lot of studying. Wouldn't it be more fun if you could watch a video of these Bible books instead of just reading or listening to them?

Well, here's my challenge. Create a video and send it to us, and we will post it on our Web site! Then Pathfinders (and anyone else who wants to learn more about God's Word) can watch your video. 1 Samuel and Mark have lots of great stories from the lives of Samuel, David, Saul, and Jesus, so they should be fun ones to portray on video.

Here are the guidelines:

1. The video must contain the entire text of a passage from 1 Samuel or Mark from the New King James Version of the Bible. The words can be spoken aloud or shown on the screen or a combination of both. Be sure to include all the words in the Bible passage, because people will be using this video to help them learn the chapter. Ideally, your video should contain a whole chapter, but if that is too long, you can break it up in segments.

2. You can use live action, animation, slide show (why not draw the pictures yourself and take photos of them?), or any other format.

3. Find more technical details on our video upload page. If you have trouble sending the video, contact us.

4. The video needs to be sent in by the end of December so Pathfinders have time to watch it before the competitions start.

You don't have to be a Pathfinder to make a video--although if you are preparing for the Bible Experience, I'm sure that making a video would be a fun way to do it. This would be a great project for a family, Sabbath school class, or Pathfinder group. I hope some of you will try it!
