Well, I think you shouldn’t get baptized when you are, like 7 years old. It’s a bit too young. I feel like at around 10-15 yo. Might be better. Some people do, but personally, when I got baptized two years ago. It was a bit too stressful, I feel like maybe I but too young. At nearly 14, looking back, I wished a waited a year or two more.

I wouldn't say "a certain age," honestly. What matters is whether or not the child has accepted Jesus into their hearts. Little kids can do that; the problem is that many don't know how. I think the age doesn't really matter much (Not babies though!), as long as the person has accepted Christ as their Savior.

I don't consider it as imperative as I did three years ago.

I agree totally. I don’t think children should be prevented from being baptized,
(that is, if they have had some bible classes and can understand and make their own choice)
but, I think some people go too far by baptizing babies/toddlers.

Catholicism and similar forms of it promote infantile baptism.

Yep. Doesn't make much sense, imo

It would to them. Their baptisms are to signify their being a part of that church. During the dark ages, the Holy Roman Empire used that as an advantage to have more clout over the people in Europe.

I mean they just have to be the age where they can choose but they have to know what it actually is, what it means, and see if this is actually what they want to do or not.

Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.

Yes, but that will be different ages for different children. A child could make that choice at 6, 8 or even 15.
