Here's what I think.
If you want to lose weight, you gotta exercise.
If you want to get good grades, you gotta study.
So I guess . . . to hear God's voice, you've gotta make time for Him and be committed. Commitment means : feeling dedication and loyalty to a cause, activity, or job; wholeheartedly dedicated.
Wait . . . now I've come in a full circle. How do you become committed?
Hmm . . . practice?
Something like that\. It's hard to become committed sometimes. I wouldn't call it "practice," though. Maybe "consistency." Though now that I think about it, they're pretty similar...Anyway, like reading your Bible and praying every day. Idk, at least that's what i've been trying to do :side: Oh, and also renewing your relationship with God every day.

On the breezes of the sky,
And you ask “What if I fall?”
Oh but darling,
What if you fly?”

Commitment means that you do it on a regular basis.
But that means you have to commit to being committed.

Maybe this is a do not think sorta thing . . . Like take each day as it comes. Do the best you can in that day ?

You could always start each day with a prayer that God will guide you and help you to show His love and care to others among your family and friends today as you give your heart to Him and articulate your needs.
What do you think?
After reading my new Bible, which I've fallen in love with, I often find that God will speak to me in regard to a plan or activity that He would like me to do or leave undone.
For example, one week ago, I was struggling to decide whether or not to take a particular class; I prayed about it and later, I read a devotional which resonated with my school situation. Just to make sure, I asked the Lord that if it wasn't His will for me to take this class, that He would make it clear to me through having it canceled.
Sure enough, the Lord answered my prayer and the class was canceled, which was very fortunate since it left time for me to work on important plans for my future.

For me, I hear God’s voice in the form of a thought. Other times I hear His voice when I read His Word.

In fact, I actually had an experience like this today that I’d like to share! :)

So I was struggling with a lot of lies and distracting thoughts that the enemy was putting into my mind.

I prayed for God to help me fight against these thoughts somehow, and a thought came to me to read Psalm 89. I opened my Bible to read the chapter and it was like God was really encouraging me through that whole chapter as I read it!

So that’s just a basic example of how I personally hear God’s voice. He speaks to me through still small thoughts, through the Bible, through nature, and sometimes through dreams too.

It’s beautiful to be in a relationship with God and to learn to listen to His encouraging, loving, and guiding voice .

It reminds me of what Jesus said in the book of John:

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: (John 10:27)

May we all learn to follow Jesus and learn to better hear His voice day by day. :)
