Ermmm.... there's 3 Dodos
1. The grandfather of Tola, a judge from the tribe of Isaachar
2. The father of Eleazar; this Dodo was one of the mighty men with David.
3. The father of Elhanan

Fun fact: the name "Dodo" is actually related to the name "David".

I got one: Who let the Israelites return to their homeland?
Warning: Spoiler! [ Click to expand ]

Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.

Egypt, Babylon...
Moses led them out of Egypt.
Zerubabbel, Ezra, and Nehemiah led them from Babylon after Persia conquered it.

You see, Israel (not Judah) was beseiged by Shalmaneser, the king of Assyria, during the ninth year of Hoshea, Israel's last king. After Israel was exiled, Shalmaneser put Babylonians, Avites, Sepharvites, and other foreigners in Israel. These strangers built their own cities and worshipped their idols and God. Shalmaneser also took a priest, so he could teach the Israelites the way of God. (You can find this in 2 Kings 17)

The next chapter (2 Kings 18), is about the Assyrians failing to conquer Judah, under the rule of Hezekiah.

So my answer is that there is no answer. The Israelites did not leave Assyria.

Well technically, the tribe of Judah is (or was) a part of Israel. The tribe of Judah and the tribe of Benjamin returned to Israel from Babylon, while the other 10 tribes did not leave Assyria.
1 Kings 17: 22 - 23: The Israelites persisted in all the sins of Jeroboam and did not turn away from them until the Lord removed them from his presence, as he had warned through all his servants the prophets. So the people of Israel were taken from their homeland into exile in Assyria, and they are still there.
No one who trusts in God will ever be disappointed.
Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure out everything on your own. Proverbs 3:5 MSG
